Beaches of the Australian Capital Territory

- Australian Beaches -

  • ACT Beaches highlights the beaches in the Jervis Bay region of NSW, of which the Australian Capital Territory has governmental control over.
  • As Canberra is an inland Territory and specifically created to represent Australia to the world, it has no natural forming beaches, and will be defined as ACT Beaches .
  • However, to offset this, when designed there was an inclusion for a man-made lake, which was duly completed and called Lake Burley Griffin , and this Lake surrounds the City of Canberra.
  • The total size of The Australian Capital Territory is only 0.03% of Australia, it has no coastline with a border of 306kms in length.
  • Canberra, the Capital of Australian Capital Territory is home to both Australian History and Australian Parliament.
